After playing a year of junior hockey, Mueller was drafted by the Hartford Whalers 141st overall in the 7th round of the 1991 NHL Draft. He would move on to the collegiate ranks to play three years with Clarkson University (1992-95), becoming an instant impact to a team that previously made it to the Frozen Four. Along with guiding the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, Mueller was a First Team All-American during his junior and senior seasons. He was also the only unanimous ECAC All-Star two years in a row, recording 39 goals and 117 assists in his career. After Clarkson University, Mueller would play his first two seasons of professional hockey with the Springfield Falcons. Brian Mueller then went to Europe before coming back to North America, as retired in 2000 with the Saginaw Gears of the UHL. Prior to college, Megan was drafted by the Florida Panthers 138th overall in the 5th round of the 2009 NHL Draft. Megan then went on to play four years of college hockey at Boston University, totaling 83 points in 151 games. He was a part of the 2012 team that made the NCAA Tournament, losing to Minnesota in the Regional Semifinals.

Unable to secure a contract with the Panthers out of college, Megan signed with their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. After three years in the Panthers system, Wade Megan signed with the St. Louis Blues in 2016, making his debut in December of that year against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He became the first player in the NHL to play from his hometown of Canton, NY.

Wade Megan also scored his first goal in his debut, as he helped the Blues beat the Lightning 5-2. In the summer of 2018, Megan signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings, making his debut with them on October 31 of that year. During the 2019 offseason, Wade Megan decided to retire from professional hockey, as he founded the NoCo Hockey camp in Canton with Kyle Flanagan and Mark Phalon, two other pros from his hometown.

He also won the Barry Ashbee Trophy as the Flyers best defenseman and the Gene Hart Memorial Award for having the most heart on the team.

Shayne Gostisbehere continued his career with the Arizona Coyotes during the 2021-22 season. The team struggled, but Gostisbehere took advantage of his opportunity, scoring the second most single season goals (14) and the second most single season points (51) of his career. He would play for the Coyotes through part of the 2022-23 season before being dealt to the Carolina Hurricanes. During the 2023 offseason, Gostisbehere was traded to the Detroit Red Wings, where he currently plays today.

Shane Pinto was born and raised in Franklin Square, NY. Athleticism runs in the Pinto family, as he gained inspiration from his father who played baseball, while both his mother and sister played softball. Pinto’s journey as a hockey player differs from others because he did not commit to making hockey his main sport until he was 14 years old, as football and baseball were prioritized more.

As he continued to develop his game, Shane Pinto gained interest from the USHL and moved from South Kent to the Lincoln Stars of the USHL for the 2018-19 season. Pinto did not disappoint, because he put up a jaw-dropping statline of 59 points in 59 games, leading all rookies. As a result, he was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team.

From Lincoln, Shane Pinto went on to play college hockey for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. He racked up all the awards, earning a spot on the NCHC All- Rookie Team for leading all rookies with 16 goals. Pinto also studied hard, resulting in him winning a spot on the NCHC All-Academic Team twice. During his sophomore year, Shane Pinto took off and became a bona fide NHL prospect. He was unanimously named NCHC Player of the Year, and he was chosen as the NCHC’s Defensive Forward of the Year and Forward of the Year.

After being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2019 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators (34th overall), Pinto finally signed his entry level contract after playing two seasons at North Dakota. Following the break from sports due to COVID-19, he made his NHL debut in 2021, scoring his first career goal against the Montreal Canadiens. His best season with the Senators was the 2022-23 season where he scored 20 goals and had 15 assists in 82 games, winning the NHL’s Rookie of the Month in October of 2022.

Recently, Shane decided to take his talents to Czechia in May to play for Team USA at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships, joining fellow South Kent alumnus Joel Farabee.
