Randy Shelley is originally from South Carolina. He developed a love for basketball at an early age, spending his days after school playing pick-up games at local playgrounds and gyms. As a teenager, he played on AAU circuits across the Carolinas, and was a shooting guard for his local high school.
He joined the South Kent School in 2022 as a member of the Humanities department. This is his first season assisting with the Development team. Outside of sports, Randy enjoys reading and hiking.
“The game has changed a great deal since I played. It is more technical. I am learning a lot from the coaching staff at SKS. My role, as I see it, is to encourage the players to focus on the simple things, what they can control–playing tough and for each other.”
